Carmel was an integral part of life in Minane Bridge. In recent years her trips from her home to the Church, to the shop, the Community Center and even further on her mobility scooter terrified many a motorist and locals. Thankfully she never came to any harm. May she rest in peace.

The late Murphy Family Minane Bridge " O'Murchú Tabhairne " were an honest to God family ~ enjoyed a Season for all their Neighbours and friends ' Carmel kept the Candle alight with her prayers and devotions.
One of my childhood memories : on our way to Knocknamanagh N.S. School friends and myself would stroll through the Murphy's back yard and see Rural living as its best ~~ Lou or Carmel milking their cows on a three legged Stool , Mrs. Murphy attending her Hens and always had a kind word. Autumn was the high light of our walk through gathering some Chest Nuts from the Big Tree - magical ! we were like Red Squirrels collecting out nuts - heading for a "Conker" competition with our school pals.
Through my life when ever I met Carmel she always enquired about the Cronin // Corcoran families well being. God Bless you Carmel no doubt you are sharing all the stories of home with your Family in Heaven.

We have great memories of her acting on stage and delivering her favourite recitations. Carmel travelled to Knock on the bus with us for many years as recently as 2022.
