I have very fond memories of both your dad and mum over the years- they were such a lovely couple, always smiling and so very kind. My two boys played football with Salthill and Jerry was always on the sideline with gentle encouragement. They are now together again and watching over you all. Dear Ann, Michael, Mary and Carmel,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry I am not able to travel to auntie Carmel's funeral. I have so many happy memories of the 'Galways' coming to visit us in Lower Ballina. Auntie Carmel was such a kind and gentle lady and together with Uncle Ger, they were so warm and welcoming when we visited them in Glenard Avenue.
Ann, Michael, Mary and Carmel you were blessed with such lovely parents. May they now enjoy being back together once again.

Auntie Carmel and Uncle Ger adored their Family Unit and their so many Grandchildren.

We were so sad to hear the news of Carmel. Deepest condolences to Anne, Michael, Mary, Carmel and all the family.

We met Carmel and Jerry in 1967 on Silver Strand beach and discovered our gardens were back-to-back. And there started a wonderful friendship full of fun and laughter. We have so many happy memories of them both.

Michael used to call Carmel "The darling girl from Clare", but that didn't stop him playing the odd prank on her. To her credit, she always took his jokes in the spirit they were meant.

We will always remember her with love and affection.
