Very sorry to hear Carmel R.I.P. died. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Carmel was a very special and caring person making a deep impression on all who knew her.
I met Carmel through her friend Maura O'Looney in the Legion of Mary. Carmel was a real leader especially in her special role in the Legion. She helped both young and old in the inner city and influenced all of us who were privileged to work with her. She also headed the team who were responsible for the refurbishment of Myra House and with Maura organised the celebrations for the Legion's Golden Jubilee. She was very sadly missed by all when this chapter of her life ended. It was always a joy to meet Carmel on many occasions over the years.

Sincere condolences to all Carmel's Family and Friends. I knew Carmel since the 1980's through the Plastics and Rubber Institute, latterly the IOM Polymer Group. Carmel was the backbone of the Irish Group for many years and was familiar to all in the Plastics Industry. I got to know Carmel very well while I was Chairman and a lasting friendship continued. Carmel was a joy to work with and brought people along easily. Carmel taught me a lot about business, communications and etiquette in a very easy way. We are so sorry to hear about Carmel's recent death. Some of us visited her only as recently as July and had a lovely chat with her.
