So sad to hear of Carmel's sudden passing.I knew her from night duty in the Mater where she was always a friendly face on busy shifts.More recently I met Carmel volunteering at the Food Bank in Darndale and wasn't a bit surprised at how amazing she was in that role. .

I met Carmel first in 1979 in the MMUH and our paths continued to cross for many years. She was an amazing nurse, colleague and friend. She was full of fun and all shifts were enjoyed. I was so shocked and so sorry to hear Carmel passed away .
I first met Carmel when Rebecca started playgroup and then we were on the parents committee in St Bridget’s Girls N.S. for a few years together.
I also attended the first aid classes she held for parents of children in St Brigids .
She was a really lovely lady who generously gave her time to help others .
My thoughts and prayers are with you all and may all the happy memories you made over the years bring you some comfort in these difficult times .

I was so sorry to hear of Carmel's sudden death. Deepest condolences to Fran, Michelle, Rebecca, and her extended family and friends. I have many fond memories of when I worked with Carmel. She was funny, quick-witted and a great nurse too. Rest peacefully Carmel.

I knew Carmel from our many years working in the Mater. She was full of compassion, a true Mater nurse and she had an amazing fun side to her which we shared. She is a huge loss and I send my condolences to the entire family. Rest in peace Carmel.

Carmel has been a cherished member of the Board of Management in St Brigid’s GNS for close to forty years, the last eight of which she has been a dedicated leader as our Chairperson. A passionate advocate for education, her unwavering commitment and kindness have left a lasting impact that will be deeply felt by our school management, staff, school community and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As a school community, we are so grateful for the immense contributions Carmel has made to St Brigid’s. Her presence was a huge source of strength, wisdom and support, she will be greatly missed.
