Very sad news about Carmel...I knew Carmel from childhood on Springhill Avenue in Deansgrange. She was part of the great crowd of kids who roamed, came together and hung out in different numbers all over that special place. She was a gentle soul, and I last saw her in Toronto when she was visiting many years ago.

I'm sure Carmel is having a giant pint with her family, whom she hasn't seen in years. Her father, mother, and two brothers have held a spot at the table for her, and now she's with them, catching up. They must be laughing over warm family memories from times long gone. We will join you at that table one day. But for now, we will say goodbye, Carmel. We will miss you.

Carmel of the most beautiful, huge brown eyes and locks of shiny black hair. Walking to Rockford Manor School from Springhill Avenue Carmel with toast in hand as she loved her extra few minutes of sleep back in the day. Intelligent and straight talking. May she now be peacefully pain free as she takes the next part of her journey onwards. Rest well Carmel you so deserve the best of comfort and peace 💜
