I met this lovely lady and her very protective dog in Skerries church a couple of years ago. She was delighted to meet someone from Newbridge even if only for a short while. She told me all about her life. May she rest in eternal peace.

Carmel became part of my life when I married John. She was always a welcomed visitor to our house in Newbridge. The family and I loved her very much and looked forward to seeing her come through the door. We loved listening to her great stories and all the joy, laughter and excitement that she brought.

The light of heaven to her & May she rest in peace.

Carmel was one of my four sisters and being nine years senior to me, she was my second mother.
She helped raise me, she taught me and she loved me.
I was very sad when my Father & I said goodbye to her as she boarded the mailboat at Dún Laoghaire and went on to London to train as a nurse.

May God Bless her for all of her kindness & may she rest in peace.
