Carmel Tighe

We would like to thank all those who have supported and sympathised with us in our recent bereavement. We are eternally grateful to everyone who travelled from near and far to be with us at this difficult time.
To those who sent letters and messages of condolences, mass and sympathy cards and flowers, thank you.
To all those who managed the parking and traffic, thank you.

A special thanks to:
Fr. Loftus for his beautiful farewell ceremony and for attending the house to bless mum and pray with us. To Fr. Curran in Dublin who blessed mum and who prayed with us before she embarked on her final journey to Mayo.
To all those who contributed to mum’s funeral services and especially the mass.
To Ballycastle Choir, Elaine, and John, and Ailish for the beautiful music.
To the undertakers for their professionalism, kindness and understanding while navigating us through a difficult journey.
To all those who formed the guards of honour.
To An Garda Síochána who escorted mum to the church and to her final resting place.
To the gravediggers for preparing mum’s grave.
To Patsy O’Neill and Ailish for the graveside music.
To all those who provided food both in Dublin and in Ballycastle.
To Dr Clinton, Elaine, Evelyn, and Margaret who provided phenomenal care to mum.
To mum’s carers in Ballycastle and Dublin who cared for her so diligently.
To all the staff in Connolly hospital.
To Dr Marie O’Connor, Elaine Dunne, palliative care team, night nurse who enabled us to care for at home.

To Marie and all the Tighe family. My condolences on the passing of Carmel. I’m sure you will look back with fondness at all the joy she brought.
