I am most saddened to learn about the passing away of Lina, who together with her siblings and parents were childhood friends and next door neighbours in the 1960s and 1970s in St George's Bay, Malta. My condolences go to her Irish family whom I never met, and to her brothers and sister in Malta, and their sweet mum. May God grant her eternal rest.

I've known you all many years, even stayed with you guys in Ireland under Lina's kind eye as a teen, she even rescued my foot from septicaemia once, driving me straight to the clinic. And I never forgot that she was an absolute spitfire at Trivial Pursuit and we shared many a laugh. She will be deeply missed. Love, always.
