On behalf of the Zyber Theatre, Tralee, I wish to express our sorrow at the sad passing of Carol James, a founding member of Zyber 40 years ago. Carol was an inspiration to us, full of vigour and energy. May she rest in peace.

How sad to read of Carol's recent death. She was indeed a great lady of the theatre. Her gentleness, wry humour and absolute professionalism in everything she did in Cork Arts will be missed. May she rest in peace.

I worked with Carol in her production of 'Gaslight', now almost thirty years ago, and a little later in 'Groping for Words'. Both of them polished and memorable productions.
The final curtain has come down on a gracious and worthy life.
We applaud her final exit.

For Paul and all who knew Carol. I was one of Carols carers in Maryborough Nursing Home. She loved walking when she first came to Maryborough and I accompanied her on many occasions. She loved the outdoors and gathered leaves and flowers to bring back to her room. She was an artist and loved singing and dancing. She had a beautiful smile and in later years seeked out the company of those who would interact with her. Rest in peace Carol
