It is with deep sadness that I read of the passing of Carol Wycherley, Dempsey, of Ring, Clonakilty, on R I P .
Carol and I were teenage School Friends at the Sacred Heart Secondary School, in Clonakilty.
Carol was a beautiful, intelligent girl full of fun and laughter.
She and her brother, Brawney and sister, Raymond, created memorable music at the Concerts in Clonakilty.

Myself, my Mom and my daughter (aged 18 then) spent a wonderful afternoon a few years ago, having tea and delicious homemade scones and cakes with Carol.

We were enthralled listening to all of her stories about family and life in general, which she told in such an animated fashion. My daughter still talks about that excellent time with her! It was lovely to have more conversations with Carol again in August of this year.

We are all so sorry to hear of Carol’s passing, particularly Mom as they were great friends for years and years. Carol was a very kind and generous lady.

We are very sorry to hear of Carols passing and sincerely send our condolences to all the family. Carol was a lady of style and glamour, a great gardener and was one of the originals home owners in Beech Park Road. We were her neighbours for 30 years and she was a wonderful neighbour and friend. She was often the “gel” that kept us all together as a community. She loved to chat with everybody and always spoke so proudly of her family. She was so proud of you all. As a fellow Cork woman we shared many stories of her growing up in Clonakilty and her many happy memories of that time. Carol was one special lady and the Beech Park Road community will certainly miss her. Our apologies that we cannot be with you for her final journey but she is certainly in our thoughts and prayers.
