We have only just heard of Carole death. We are truly sorry for your loss. She was an amazing woman. She loved people and her dogs. Our sincere sympathy to all the Riordan family and anyone who knew her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

To Liz, Monica and all the Riordan family. Carol was a one of a kind woman. She made us laugh. She had a wonderful way of expressing herself. I often thought she could have been an author or a script writer. The brave and dignified persona she displayed throughout her illness was remarkable . We will miss her for now while she sleeps. We had the good fortune to meet Carole in 1990 upon arriving in Ireland, and from that day forward we grew to love her deeply. Carole was always the most cheerful, positive, appreciative person one could ever hope to meet! We don’t once remember seeing a frown on her face, ever. We miss her so much, but know she’s sleeping peacefully and we look forward to giving her a big bear hug in the new world!… until then, all our love to you all!

Dear Monica and Liz. We are beyond words to express our deepest condolences to you and your families. We loved Carole so much over many decades and she was such a lovely one off personality. She lived next door to us in Cork and babysat our children many times . She will be held with great love and affection by so many and will be missed by us all. She was a true friend to an incalculable amount of people.

My sincere sympathy to Carole’s sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends. Having worked with Carole in the Information Office over the years, I knew her as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Sometimes at short notice and under difficult circumstances.
It was with great sadness that I learned of her passing. It feels so unfair that she wasn't afforded the time to enjoy the retirement she so richly deserved.
May she now rest in peace in her eternal home.
