I am very sorry to hear of Caroline's death. It has been some time since we met, but like many who knew her from school, I remember her very fondly, and brimming with energy. Thinking of you all. X

She was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of many as an incredible teacher, leader, mentor and friend. Her positive and supportive nature brought light into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. The impact she made will forever remain in our hearts. She always had time to lend a listening ear, offering guidance, encouragement and support – which I will be forever grateful for. Her passing has left an enormous void in the school community. May you find solace in the cherished memories you shared with Caroline and the legacy she leaves behind. Sincere condolences to Gary and Caroline’s family. I had the pleasure of meeting Caroline as my daughter’s teacher when she started in St. Finian’s. Over the years she was a very welcoming face in the school who would always stop to have a chat whenever we met, she was exactly the same with her students and when my daughter returned to St. Finian’s on teacher training placement her kindness & encouragement continued with her door always open if she had any questions. When my daughter graduated she had the pleasure of working with Caroline as a colleague and I know from her how much St. Finian’s will miss her. She was an amazing lady who has touched many students & parents with her kindness. Rest in peace Caroline.

I am so sorry to learn of Caroline's passing. I haven't seen Caroline in many years but as soon as I saw her photo, I was taken back a quarter of a century to the Bot, Belfast. I don't recall how we met - prehaps we admired each others outfits or lip gloss - but every week we would have the best of craic, laugh and lament Belfast's dating scene in the mid 90s. A sparkling ray of sunshade. My sincere condolences to Caroline's family and friends. RIP Caroline x x

Deepest sympathy to Gary, the Cooney and Devitt families and adored nieces and nephews about whom she spoke so highly. While Caroline was a great teacher she really excelled when becoming Deputy Principal. Caroline was kind, caring, wise and always displayed a great sense of humour. Not only was she our Deputy Principal, she was a good friend to us all. She always made time for everyone, despite not having the time. Her passing has left a huge void in our school community but her empathy and compassion will continue to live on. She will always be remembered and I'm grateful for the kindness and support she showed me over the years. May she rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear of Caroline's passing. I worked with her for many years in St. Finians and have so many great memories of times spent with her. But in particular what will stay with me is the compassion and support she showed me when i suffered a bereavement myself during that time. She was so kind to me and it is something i will never forget and will forever be grateful for. She was an absolute lady. My sincerest condolences to all her family. Rest in peace Caroline.
