It's been forty five years since I worked together with Caroline, as an Associate of her practice, before founding my own . A spirited and wide- ranging creative architect who had enjoyed the school in Edinburgh where sculpture, painting and architecture were interfused, as kindred Arts ; she relished that - and her work always recognised the true meaning of creativity and conservation, in synergy. I was so glad that we had lunch together, not long ago, in Strabane, when I had reason to go North ; she was then working on the architectural conservation of some lovely outbuildings in Sion Mills, returning from a site meeting - even in age, as attentive and dedicated as ever. I was so sad to hear of her sudden passing - she will live on though her work, which I hope receives the respect it richly deserves . My condolences to those sorrowing at her untimely loss ........
We are so sorry to hear about Caroline's death. Sincere condolences to her wider family and friends. She was a gentle lady and great architect and professional who you could always rely on. She will be sadly missed by all.

So very sorry to hear of Caroline’s death. I first met her over Christmas dinner at the home of our good friend Noreen Erskine. We had a wonderful day, engaged in talking about the many projects she had worked on during her career. We also discussed the changing face of Derry down the years. She was a fascinating lady and I always enjoyed meeting her. Sincere condolences to her wider family circle and her good friends and neighbours in Fahan.
Caroline was a wonderful colleague and architect and a joy and pleasure to work with.
Projects included the Letterkenny
Shopping Centre, Waterside Railway Station, Rathmullan chalets, Redcastle Hotel, Lough Eske Castle and numerous other developments.
I enjoyed lunch with her very recently and it was a privilege to have known this gentle lady.
Most sincere condolences from Pat,
Doreen and family

SHE WASA LADY IN EVERY WAY
THE WORLD WILL BE POORER WITH OUT HER
Caroline was a true lady through and through. I admired greatly her politeness and her professionalism which emanated so naturally. Her approach was one of gentleness and deep-seated Christian motivation. I, and so, so many of us in the Church of Ireland will forever be deeply indebted to Caroline for her unstinting dedication and skill which she devotedly conveyed through her work in regards to church glebes and other properties over a period of many years. She will be fondly remembered and ever so greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
So very sorry.
