To Patrick,Georgia and Aiden. There are never the right words for times like this, but please know we loved Caroline and will miss her dearly. She was unique, and beautiful in every way. We are better people for having known her. Much love to you all.

Such sad news - sometimes life just doesn't seem fair.
Caroline was our bridesmaid when we got married - 40 years ago this year. She was a shy, quiet 13 year old then but she clearly grew up to be a talented, witty, outgoing character with a great sense of humour who was very well thought of by everyone who knew her.
Sincere sympathies to Aidan, Patrick and Georgia plus Michael and Richard who have all lost a shining light in their lives. God Bless.

I was shocked to hear about Caroline passing away this week. Its very sad news. I have great memories of our time at Leicester University. We flew over to come and work in Ireland after we finished and worked together for a few years. My condolences to Aidan, Patrick & Georgia

Caroline, Richard and Michael, and Pat, Liz, Ed and I were the Kettering Gormley kids. So many great memories of good and fun times together either down in Summerfield Road or up in Regent Street. Thinking also at this sad time of Caroline's Mum and Dad, Pat and Lena, as well as my own parents, Ed and Tess. The Kettering Gormleys! So sad, Caroline, that you have gone too soon from this life. I will cherish my childhood memories of you, and pray for you and your family.

I personally have such lovely memories, St Edwards Primary School days, WMC on a Saturday night, Alternative disco at Northpark and The Rec and many a good night in The Swan and Prince of Wales. Going to watch bands all over and missing the train back. Too many to list really but every time I shall remember them with a smile.

Aidan and family, I can't quite believe the news that Caroline is gone. Even though its over 20 years since we worked together i still remember her sense of fun and love of life really clearly, and she will always be remembered for it with great fondness. From the notion of getting 'beans' and 'toast' tattooed across her knuckles, to her antics with Right Said Fred in her college years...you were always guaranteed a thoroughly entertaining chat with Caz - no matter what the conditions in the middle of a muddy field! I was so sad to learn of it. I got to know Caroline when we were in the local orchestra here in Drogheda for several years. She loved her music and played in the brass section. Caroline was such a genuine, sound and fun person, I’d meet her around the town afterwards and she’d always stop for a chat - saying how she missed playing the regular bit of music. Hope she is playing a few tunes up there.. Rest in peace Caroline.

I was so sad to hear of Caroline's passing. She was a wonderful person; hilarious, caring, determined, fierce and could find the fun in any situation. I have great memories of her from working side by side in muddy ditches in Ratoath to climbing Table Mountain in the South African sunshine.
