It has been my absolute privilege to have known Carsten so well through golf over the last few years and to have been with him on a number of trips away. He was such great company, always with a smile and a brilliant sense of humour. The courage with which he faced his illness was truly inspirational.

He was always great company, generous with his time, and a pleasure to walk the fairways with — Carsten always stopped to smell the roses and share a smile.

Liz and extended family, I was heart sore to learn of Carstens passing on Saturday. He was such a lovely man and I'm certain sure that everyone who knew him will miss him dearly. I met Carsten first through work & then through Golf, he always had time for you, was in good humour and could talk on virtually any topic. He was a regular in our group of 12 or so that played the fourball together on a Tuesday - he loved winning that, and he did, several times. I was fortunate to know him and doubly so to have played his final round of golf with himself, Greg and Nicky on a glorious sunny day last Friday. I think I am right in saying that his last hole on this mortal coil was a par.
May the fairway rise with you Carsten, Rest in Peace.
