Although we lost touch over the years, I remember my former classmate Cass as one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. He was a true gent with a great sense of humour (he got me into Douglas Adams and Tom Sharpe too) and, of course, he was very very smart. Shocked at his passing.
