Deepest sympathies to the Deasy family on the passing of Cathal. Was really sad when I heard of his passing. I remember him well as a student in Farranferris when he came to us mid cycle. Always smiling and a really pleasant student in class and around the school. He fitted in so well. He loved his hurling too. Taken too young. May Cathal Rest in Peace.

When I first moved to Ireland Cathal was so kind and helpful in organising medication for myself and my boys. Such a lovely, kind and caring man.

I was a boarder with Cathal in Farrenferris and we both did our leaving cert together. We had a lot of laughs and great times there. Cathal was one of the most genuine guys you could ever meet. A true gentleman. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Meabh and family,I’m so sorry for your loss.I only heard the sad news today. Cathal was a great guy who I got to know when he Locumed for me many years ago in Clontarf. I was delighted to be able to return the favour when I Locumed for him in Howth where he achieved his goal of getting his own Pharmacy. Cathal was a wonderful Pharmacist who made a great and lasting impression in the short time he was in Howth.

I was in Farna with Cathal - we both did the leaving cert in 2000 and he was such a lovely guy. Bright, funny but most of all kind. It was always good to be in his company. Though I hadn't seen him in many years, I recently met a good friend of Cathal's at a match and we both recalled the same genuine, warm guy.
