I am a life-long friend of Cathal's sister Brenda and brother Ray Gogan. Though native to the U.S., I had the honor of meeting Cathal during my trips to Ireland. He was a great guy and I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. Such a sweet and gentle man. What a loss!

Cathal fought so many battles with his health over the years yet he always had a big smile for everyone he met
and was much more interested in how we were doing than talking about himself.

He was a true gentlemen with such an interest in life, music, history, tennis and of course family. He was so proud of his children, and rightly so! He loved you so much Alice, and you couldn't have done more for him in his very tough battles.

It has been a privilege for us to have had him as our friend for the past 40 years. Boy did we have fun! We will always cherish those happy times with you Cathal.
