Sincere condolences to all the MacLiam family. Cathal was a lovely man and a great colleague. It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with him, representing members, before and after the merger of the FWUI & ITGWU. He will be sadly missed by all of us who knew him. May he Rest in Peace🌹

Deepest sympathy to Cathal's family, both immediate and extended and to his friends and former colleagues worldwide. He was a warm, gentle and lovely person and will be sorely missed by all of us involved in the running of the Desmond Greaves Summer School. He was a valued member of the Committee for many years. His passing is a sad loss for us all.

Condolences to the extended Mac Liam family. We were former work colleagues in Telecommunication Ltd. in Finglas, many, many years ago. Cathal was an absolute gentleman of the highest integrity, may his gentle soul R.I.P.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Cathal. First met Cathal in the number 2 Branch in the ITGWU when I was a Union Rep.
