I am so sad to learn of Mr Mooney passing away. You were an inspirational teacher. Thank you for introducing me to astronomy and the shuttle launch. A man who was truly ahead of his time. Your passion for our wonderful Irish culture was inspiring. My condolences to your family who will be comforted by treasured memories of the most wonderful man. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'anam.

Our deepest empathy to Cathals family and relatives. A long time good neighbour of the Mahers, he will be missed and never forgotten! Everytime i look up at the stars and the night sky, i would think Cathal Mooney taught me about the Heavens!! God rest his soul, he will be among the stars now smiling down upon us all.
