It is nothing less than an honour and privelege to have got to know Cathal, and seen what a truly beautiful, talented and gracious man he was, There will be a brighter star shining in the sky tonight and always because of him.
May you rest in peace now you have suffered so much
Cathal's death will be greatly mourned by those who shared his interest in history of the the soldier, in particular those who served in the Great War 1914-1919. As a fellow member of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association, may I gratefully acknowledge all that he did to remember and honour those men. Go ndéana Dia trocaire ar a n-anam dilis.
