Sincere sympathy to Pat, Eamonn, Donal, Ronan, Maresa, Patrick and extended Family. My memories of Catherine go back to the 50s and 60s, when Catherine would visit Granny in 129. Catherine and I were deemed to be Granny's favourites - but I think Catherine had the edge!

I was very saddened to hear of the death of Catherine. We have been friends since our schooldays in HFC Glasnevin. I always looked forward to our annual catch-up lunch in the summer when I would be in Dublin. Sadly, there will be no lunch this year. To all in Catherine’s family, I send my sincerest sympathy at this very difficult time.

She really believed that the children are the future of the church and would do anything to ensure that Pope Francis's message "the church is for everyone" was fully embraced. May she rest in peace. We are so sad to hear of the loss of Catherine. We had got to know her through the Booterstown Parish where she was always so warm and encouraging of the kids to get involved in reading prayers, readings and the choir. It greatly enhanced their enjoyment in mass and made us all feel part of the beautiful community in Booterstown Parish. She will be missed enormously.

Dear Pat, Eamonn, Donal and Ronan, and Catherine’s extended family,
our parish is experiencing profound sadness on the loss of Catherine, coordinator of the parish Liturgy Group for over 20 years. Catherine loved liturgy and church music and she used her gifts to plan and enhance liturgy in the parish. She liaised with the parish clergy, parish schools and parish ministry groups ensuring good communication and the inclusion of everyone.
Her attention to organisation and detail was legendary, especially when planning Christmas, Easter and special liturgies, including the annual November Remembrance Mass.
We will truly miss her reassuring and constant presence in the church and on “the avenue”.
May Catherine Rest in Peace and continue to watch over you all,

It’s with great sadness we heard about Catherine’s passing and want to extend heartfelt condolences to you Pat and all her family on your deep loss. Catherine touched the hearts of so many in our school community and was always working silently in the background to ensure that the children and their families were involved and welcome to all the many children’s liturgies she organised in the parish. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time and may dear Catherine now rest in peace. She will be sorely missed.

My deepest sympathy to all of Catherine's family. Catherine was a wonderful encourager of all things ecumenical. She initiated and supported many ecumenical occasions for the Church of the Assumption in Booterstown and St Philip and St James' Church (Church of Ireland) in Booterstown, particularly the Ecumenical Prayer at the Cross each Good Friday evening, and our combined combined effort at Christmas to 'Sing for SIMON'. She was a cherished friend to the Church of Ireland Parishes of Booterstown and Mount Merrion, and we were blessed to have known her.
