Catherine Connellan

Heartfelt condolences to all of Catherine’s siblings, children and extended family from the English branch of the family. We have warm memories of past meetings with Catherine. She gave unstinting help in providing official documentation on our mother, Eileen Skinner nee Goodman and on the complicated history of the Irish side of our family tree. In recent times Catherine provided invaluable assistance in helping her English nieces and nephews document their case for Irish citizenship, most recently for our son Patrick, and new grandson Oscar. We very much enjoyed visiting her and Louise in our June 2025 trip to Dublin, - in fact we enjoyed our dinner together so much that we arranged for a second dinner on the following day. Catherine was always warm and caring with lively and informed opinions. We will miss her greatly.

As John's wife I am writing on his behalf as he has severe dementia. John was Catherine's cousin and has had a very close and happy relationship with Catherine over the years. Personally I was also so grateful for Catherines regular phone calls to check up on John's wellbeing while we travelled our difficult path with his dementia. I will always have the warmest memories of Catherine and know she will leave a huge hole in the life of her closest family - for this reason my love and sympathy are sent to you all across the miles.
