So sad to read of Catherine’s passing, but reminded of the happy times my sister, brother and myself spent on our visits to Granny Dora’s farm in Barnaran, during our Summer holidays all those years ago, we enjoyed such fun with all the Cross children. Frequenting our beautiful Church here in Rathangan, it’s wonderful to remember Catherine’s great Architect Dad Andrew. Condolences to Tom, Sean, Anne and Mary and fondly remembering you all at this sad time. May Catherine now enjoy Eternal Rest.

Sincere condolences to Triona, Anne and all the family. I had the pleasure of meeting Catherine once and was struck by her enthusiasm and energy that belied her years! I thought she had such zest. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

As a child, when aunty Catherine would arrive in a haze of chanel and tweed with luggage and hugs, it was always such a celebration. Her fun loving, feisty nature would shine through and all would gather together in collective flurries. Granny missed Catherine terribly when she moved to the U.S to embark on her design and architecture journey with her beloved Ivan but Catherine, though not present for Sunday dinners, was omnipresent in conversations around dinner tables and in her mum's and family prayers.

Brought up in a home where building designs and blueprints of churches lay across tables in Drimsree gave Catherine a joy of learning about design and that passion was pursued vigorously by her following her secondary education in boarding school in Rochfortbridge.Armed with stunning beauty, she moved to the glamorous world of air hostessing & modelling before studying design and architecture. That inspiration has passed to Lucyanne who is intent on becoming a designer like her aunty Catherine. Her legacy lives on.
We'll be forever grateful for the lovely times she spent here with Lucyanne and Niall who she did homework with, had morning snuggles with, played football with and told stories to over long phonecalls. We are just so so sad we dont have more time with Catherine. We miss and love her dearly. Im so glad we were with you to hold your hand in your last moments.
