My condolences to all the lovely family & friends of wonderful Catherine.
I first got to meet her, & members of her family, & many other wonderful people, when I went to stay with family relations, in the Brandon area in the early 1960's.
I met her, her younger sister Nora, & one of her elder siblings, Paddy, a fantastic personality & singer.
They lived out towards Brandon Point, one of the most beautiful scenic places in the world.
There was the Lynchs, the Sullivans & the Houlihans, wonderful people all. I'd walk out there, there was no tarmac road then, it ended at the village. I always got a tremendous welcome.
I remember it as if it was yesterday, but she I know, is the last of her family. She and so many others, have passed on, but they are always in my thoughts & prayers.
A little poem for her, her other family members, & all I knew in that lovely area;
Wonderful Catherine, family & friends,
I knew in the Brandon/Cloghane area of the lovely Emerald Isle,
Whenever I think of them,
I do so with a smile;
For their now all with our Creator,
With the wonderful Divine,
With lovely God,
Still making our life journies easier and fine.

We were so heartbroken to hear this news yesterday morning.
Kay was simply a lady through & through and you rarely saw her without Michéal by her side, the devotion they had for each other was easy to see.
