Dear Joe, heartfelt condolences on the sad passing of your sister Catherine. I am really sorry to have missed her funeral. I worked with Catherine in AMEV for 10 years and what a remarkable inspirational lady she was. Catherine was always first in, had a tremendous work ethic, got on well with everyone, had a good word for everyone and kept us all constantly amused with her stories.AMEV was a company full of young people and Catherine minded everyone just as she has done all her life with her own family and Austin’s mother. Even though Catherine was a true Dub from Fergus Road in Terenure, she loved Wexford and I recall she even learnt to drive when she moved from Havelock Square in Sandymount with Austin to their home in Kilmuckridge and also taking up line dancing and bingo. I was deeply saddened to hear of Catherine’s passing - she left a lasting impression on me and I hope I will have the same positive mental attitude in my latter years. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
