My commiserations to Kate’s family for your sad loss. Over many years, Kate was steadfast in her determination to win justice for her husband Dick and the other five innocent Irishmen known as the Birmingham Six. I particularly remember her at Nora Power’s house the morning after the bigoted Court of Appeal cruelly rejected the men’s pleas of innocence in January 1988 strongly encouraging the other wives and children present that the campaign for justice must continue. RIP Kate.
