My sincere condolences to Bobby, Sandra and Kellie, Mrs Hayden and family on the sad loss of Katie, I had the pleasure of looking after Katie, some 27 years ago, she had a smile that would light up any room and her laugh was infectious, but if she was angry with you you'd know it . Katie will be sadly missed.

My deepest condolences to Katie's Mam, sisters, brothers, extended family and also to her second family in SMH Baldoyle. It was my privilege and always a pleasure for over 30 years to know and work with Katie in Baldoyle. She was a very special lady. She always had such a beautiful smile. I am reminded of a poem by Jez Alborough called Smiling is infectious. The first few lines of it say "Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu, When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too". Katie shared so many smiles in her lifetime and those with her could not help but smile too. With the nod of her head and that familiar "yeah" one could have lovely chats with her. She was much loved by those who knew her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace Katie.

You were an absolute lady with the biggest heart that you opened up to us all in the day service and I’m so grateful to have known you. I’ll miss you dreadfully and will remember you always. I was so saddened to hear of Katie’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Katie from my time in the IWA and later in St. Michael’s House. I will always cherish her warm hugs and her gentle soul. She had a unique way of making every meeting feel special, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. My thoughts are with all who loved and cared for her.
