Auntie Kathleen was my godmother and she was the most wonderful person. She was probably the sister my mother, Norah was closest to.
I remember her always being cheerful and never having a bad word to say about anyone. She came all the way to London for my wedding.
When we visited her with Bill and my children - Theo, Cleo and Tristan - in recent years, she was so generous in inviting us for tea. Marian and Breda were there too and we had lovely chats. Theo also visited Kathleen when he was in Dublin with a friend and she was equally generous. It was true Irish hospitality.
Thank you to Marian and Breda for welcoming us to your family home. I am sure you will really miss her and I know she is in heaven with my mum. xxx

Kay was a very talented lady with many skills, knitting, sewing, cooking, to name a few.

Kay was very independent and drove up to recently. Kay was an early riser and walked to mass every day, hail, rain or shine.

She jelled very well with the other ladies on the road and was always ready to lend a hand out to them.

Kay had a great smile and laugh and always made us feel so welcome.

Dear Keating Family,

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the death of your beloved mother Kay Keating. Kay was the most wonderful neighbour anyone could ever have, and her kindness and warmth touched the lives of so many. She was a great friend to my late mother and father, Patsy and Liam Keogh, and I have cherished memories of the Keating family and the Keoghs living side by side on Hughes Road South.

Please accept my sincere condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts are with Marian, Vincent, Breda, Anne, Tina, Joan, and all of your extended families. Kay's spirit will always be remembered, and she will be deeply missed.
