Catherine (Kitty) Gleeson

Sadly, we have only just heard that Catherine has left us. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
We first got to know her in St. Pat’s in 1974. She was a lovely, warm and friendly person and it was always a joy to meet her around Clontarf.
Catherine, go raibh do leaba agat i measc na naomh agus na n-aingeal.

Joan, so sorry to hear of death of your beloved sister Kitty. We all shared happier days in St Louis Kiltimagh.
I could not get to the funeral but I wathced it on the web cam from the church. Both yourself and Gabriel paid
lovely tributes to her.

I knew Kitty for my whole life and she was such a warm, kind and important presence. She was a great friend to our whole family and I have many fond memories of her.

I will always remember her with light.

I am sorry to hear the news of Mrs Gleeson as I knew her. She was my favourite school teacher and I remember we were her first class she had when she started in Bayside primary school back in the 80's. Years later I moved to America and I remembered writing to her and she wrote back. May she rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to all Kitty’s family and friends, I was with Kitty many many years ago in Monaghan and we were good pals, I have the fondest memory of her. May she rest in peace. I am mindful of her now and the next hour or so as her funeral takes place, she is in my prayers.

Catherine Gleeson was a wonderful teacher and a kind thoughtful person, the news of her passing brings sadness but also wonderful memories of her in Bayside school. Thinking of Joan and all her family at this sad time, ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
