She was a great teacher managing a large number of students from infants to 6th class on her own for many years with no complaints. I always remember we had to write the news every morning- which helped with our English without even knowing. She was always encouraging and helpful. She gave us an amazing appreciation for nature, we always had the May altar full of flowers and in autumn she had us finding every colour possible in bramble leaves. I remember she brought in a bottle for wine with wicker on the outside- which was an exotic mystery to most of us. Many fond and happy memories of primary school.
