So sad to hear of the passing of our Auntie Kathleen. We were always met with love and kindness from her when visiting her on our holidays from England in our childhood and in our later years. My own abiding memory was a happy day out in Howth at the seaside with our own family and Kathleen's. Buckets and spades, sandy sandwiches, lots of sunshine, kindness, good fun and happy memories. What a great memory to leave us with. Our sincere sympathies go out to Kathleen's family, Sheila, Brendan, Maureen and Helen whom I believe will have equally happy memories of her as their mum. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

I can't express how sad I was to hear of your mum's passing. I know how close you all were and she was like a sister among you. I hope those happy memories of the lovely time spent together, at home and holidays will comfort you in the coming months. I have such lovely memories as a child visiting Auntie Kathleen and being fussed about. Your Mum and ours were such good friends and her kindness to Dad while in the nursing home will never be forgotten. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.....May she rest in peace. Mary

The thoughts of not being able to knock in next door for a cup of tea and a chat brings a tear to my eye. You were so nice to me and I will never forget that. I know one day we will meet again.

It was great to have an opportunity a few years back to meet up with Kathleen and her daughter in Dublin and have a great chat about the family.
