Dear Gareth and Genevieve, I was so sorry to learn that your beloved Mum Catherine has died. I am thinking of you at this very sad and lonely time. I remember her as a lovely person when I worked with her in nursing for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Raheny. I was a good friend with her outside of work also, as were Helen O’Sullivan, Helen O’Dowd and Frankie Cullen. May Catherine rest in peace. With love from Margaret McGrath (née Quinn)

Sincere sympathy to Genevieve and Gareth and all the extended family. I worked with Catherine on night duty in The National Maternity Hospital--we planned to do our nights together. She was such a kind, gentle person and all the patients loved her. She was a great colleague to have met and worked with and always had great advice for her younger colleagues. We’re so sorry for your loss Gar & Genevieve.
Catherine was a lovely neighbour and a born nurse, always smiling and treating everyone with kindness. Kids always warmed to her; she had a way with them- always the midwife & never lost the knack!
Such a proud Mum and Granny, and anybody can see why. It was comforting to see her receive the loving care she so deserved after her many years of nursing. Catherine will be dearly missed by all who knew her xx
