Beautiful Cathleen, thank you for shaping my life. I am so grateful to have learnt so much from you as my mentor in 2011.
The world is not as bright now that you are no longer here. Love to your family and their loss. May you rest in peace.

To Derek and all the O'Neill family, I heard the news of Cathleen's passing, and am sorry for your loss, I wish you the comfort of memories shared and stories told in difficult times.
So sorry to hear of the death of Cathleen O'Neill. My condolences to her family and friends.
Cathleen was a hero to so many. Our mother, Rose O'Driscoll attended her writing group in Klear for many years in the 80s and 90s. Cathleen hugely inspired her students and encouraged them to publish their stories, and they all did. She was a hero in community activism and an all round wonderful person. May Cathleen rest in peace 🙏🏻

Our thoughts and condolences are with your family. Joan O’Connor (our Mam) and she were friends in the 80’S during the KLEAR days.
I’m Joan O’Connor’s daughter. I have memories of your Mam during the KLEAR days. She was a powerful advocate with a strong voice. My mam had great time for her. Cathleen’s name was often mentioned in our house, always with a tone of respect and friendship. You have my sympathies as you get through this time
My deepest condolences to the O’Neill family on Cathleen’s passing. She was a selfless woman full of kindness and caring for others. She is a big loss to the community.
Deepest sympathy to Derek, Sinead, Róisín, Sean and Siobhan on the death of Cathleen. She has left a great legacy in community activism and advocating for social justice for those who came to her for help. I remember her talking passionately about the work she was doing for working class communities around Dublin & how she met with disapproval from the authorities who cut funding as she said they felt fearful that people were being empowered & as such were running for elections which was a threat to the Establishment. Her work has inspired many and you can all feel justifiably proud to have had her as a mother, a granny, an aunt, a sister, a neighbour & a friend. May Kathleen rest in peace.
My condolences .RIP .MAY GOD SHINE HIS FACE UPON YOU .
To Derek, Susan, Katie, Saoirse and Michael, our deepest condolences on the death of Cathleen. Ar dheis Dè go raibh a hanam.

Cathleen was an important presence in the community sector over many decades, especially during the era when participation was valued and facilitated. Even in the years when community development was suppressed by the state, Cathleen was instrumental in recording those events so others could maintain the values associated with equality and the right to a just benefit from the state's project
