My sincere condolences to all of Cathy’s family and friends. Tomás and Dualta, I met your mother through her friend, my cousin Sheila de Courcy. I went to stay with Cathy when she was cattle-herding in Switzerland, with my son Chris who was then 3 years old. Because of Cathy, we had a really wonderful time. I admired her resourcefulness and resilience. I remember sleeping out under the stars and Cathy encouraging us to tell stories and make up songs, which we did. I remember the cows waking us up in the morning, with their bells ringing, all standing around staring down at us curiously. Cathy and I had some great talks on that visit. She helped me come to terms with some difficult stuff and to face some hard realities. I will always remember Cathy very fondly and feel very sad that I will not see her again.
