Cathy, you fought so tirelessly and fiercely for all of us, you blazed a blessed trail, and punched a hole of hope in the heavens for both the healthy and the ailing. I thank you for all you achieved for the future of all of us who never know what the future holds. To the Durkin family, stand proud. My sincerest sympathies to you at this sad time. I hope that you realise that Cathy's inner light will shine brighter and brighter in times to come, and we can all walk humbly in her shadow. Rest well.

I would like to express my sympathies and also from the Hunting lodge pub owners and patrons in Rockstown County Limerick, where Kathy performed back in the mid 1990s. She is fondly remembered there.

So sorry to hear of Cathys death. Sympathies to all her family which im sure will miss her greatly.

A very brave and courageous woman, God give strenght to her family and friends to carry on. She will forever live in their hearts and memories. By going public with her battle she may help to save the lives of others, amll comfort to her family but a huge gratitude from a nation. Rest in Peace. x
