We were met at the door with a "cead mile failte",
A warm Irish hug and a smile would embrace you,
When a fresh pot of tea appeared on the table,
With Avril's fresh scones served on the side.
Next came the cards, that's if you were able,
Which were shuffled and cut by Celia with pride.
The banter and fun could last 'til early morning,
A sing song would follow if the timing was right,
Seeing her dance an old waltz was a beautiful sight,
Lest we forget her little pet Molly,
And the stray cats at the window,fed the best of the chicken,
With us,Celia shared her memories of old,
And loved one and all with her heart of gold,
A beautiful lady both inside and out,
We are honoured that our paths have crossed.
