Dear Muiris,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Cecilia's passing this morning. I am regretful I was unaware before her funeral as I would have loved to attend. Cecilia was a lovely, bright and intelligent woman, who's sharp wit kept me on my toes each and every time I visited.

It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with Cecilia and I will miss her, our conversations and all our lovely afternoons spent playing with the dogs, reading or listening to music very much.

Dear Uncle Muiris and extended family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Aunt Cecilia’s passing. I will be with you today in spirit. May your fond memories of Aunt Cecilia bring you comfort during this hard time in your life.
My own memories of Aunt Cecilia were her love of the two Labrador dogs you both had when I was a child. Her love of dressing up to go to the NCH and telling me all about it over a cup of tea. And as someone already said her hosting skills for dinner parties, one of which I experienced when I got married.
May your happy memories of Cecilia ease you through this challenging time. Psalm 147:3 he heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wound.
May the life of Aunt Cecilia be shared today and always.

Cecilia was a wonderful, kind woman and an incredible volunteer for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Alongside her beloved husband Muiris, they achieved so much, and raised needed funds for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind throughout the decades. It was my pleasure to present Muiris and Cecilia with an Outstanding Contribution Award last year on behalf of Irish Guide Dogs.
