It was a privilege to serve on the Board of Management in St Helens junior school under Celine's guidance as chair. Her commitment, enthusiasm, good humour and positivity sprinkled with a healthy dose of common sense meant it was truly a pleasure to work with her and to get to know her.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Alas I only got the very sad news after the funeral.I have so many fond memories of our Lohunda Park neighbour Celine..so vibrant and always full of fun . I remember her fondly, looking beautiful with a paintbrush in her hand and envied her wonderful garden with happy children running round everytime I passed. Yet there was always time for a cuppa and a chat ..she didnt sweat the small stuff !
Rest now dear Celine among the flowers in the Garden of Eden.Thanks for all the happy memories and all the joy you brought.

Working in St. Patrick's Mathematics Department I regret I had little contact with Special Education staff, but I would like to record that Celine was one of those who allowed remote computer access to make an invaluable contribution to my 'Proth-Gallot Group', a happy group of computational number theorists.

I am so deeply saddened to know that Celine has died. My sincere sympathies to Cormac, Robert, Gavin & Corinne, to all Celine's family friends & former colleagues & especially to her adoring & adored grandchildren.
When someone has given so much already in a voluntary capacity, one would understand if they declined , to give again, to the same cause, many years later. Not so with Celine. She gave her time & commitment, with others, in setting up the Swimming Club for St Helen's many years ago. Yet she enthusiastically embraced the role of Chairperson when asked decades later to consider taking it on! Her reliability, commitment & generosity with her time were just some of her many qualities which l was lucky enough to experience when working with her as Chairperson of the Board. She was ever supportive, practical, a great team player & team manager with an ability to get the job done efficiently & effectively while always maintaining a sense of perspective & indeed a sense of humour.
Thank you Celine for your gift to the children of St Helen's Junior over so many years.

I have such fond memories of working closely with Celine at St Pat's/DCU. Celine was so welcoming when I first joined St Pat's and always so generous with her time and advice - her door was always open, however busy things got plus she made me laugh pretty much every day! I'll never forget this time and her 100% commitment to staff and students. My sincere condolences to Celine's family and friends during this very difficult time.

I was so shocked and sad to hear about Celine's passing. My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Celine for many years in Pat's. She was a great friend to us all in the library. Most of all I remember our coffee breaks in the dining room laughing and having the crack. She will be missed.

I was a visiting lecturer at the Special Ed. Department for many years until the early 20s and my memory of Celine was her warm smile and greetings - especially on a cold winter's morning - having just driven up from Kilkenny.
Celine was always cheerful and I well knew the huge asset she was to that Department.
