Aruna, Dhara, I was so saddened to see the notice of Chandy’s passing. He was a wonderful man and we always enjoyed our little chats in the pharmacy. We shall miss him. You have our deepest sympathy.

We called on him so often when our boys were young, and he always was such a gentleman. His sense of fun and humour was evident and his advice was such a relief to the most worried souls. What a remarkable man was ChanduMama. Seeing you just 4 months ago to now sitting here typing a note of condolence seems so surreal.
Chandumama’s Charisma* shone like no other, His Humour* was infectious, His Academic* ability is something to admire given he was an international University Scholarship student at Queens. His ability to Nuture* the best out of all he met gave us an unexpected level of optimism. His diligence* was second to none in all he did as was his Understanding* & compassion of those around him. The sheer level of tributes speak volumes about Chandumama’s qualities, credibility of character & popularity. I was fortunate enough to spend much quality time with him over many years including annual childhood holidays in Cornwall with his (late)friend Davey & family then in later years at his family home in Skerries where I met many of his friends, some of who I recognise in this list of tributes. He often visited his sister/my mother where he’d always be full of fun & frolics, there was never a dull moment. Other times we’d be sharing broadsheet papers & discussing current affairs.

Chandy and Aruna always greeted you like you were a friend and not just a customer.
Chandy was such a warm and dignified man with whom chat could roam from Brian O'Driscoll's brilliance on the rugby pitch to working in civil rights era Belfast in the 1960s. Their South Circular Road pharmacy served and serves the community with a kindness and warmth that is rare these days. That will be Chandy's legacy! He was us.

I was deeply saddened by the news of sad demise of my dear cousin Chandubhai. Our family had a very close ties with him. Chandubhai was a very affectionate and caring person. He used to say that whenever he thought of having a vacation , he would first think of coming to India and visit 'Mota' mama's family. We cherish all those wonderful moments we shared togather. Chandubhai occupies a special place in our hearts.
