I had the privilege of teaching Chantelle for two years in St. Ronan’s N.S. She was an absolute joy to have in class. I remember her sense of fun, that twinkle in her eye and her infectious laugh. Most of all, I have always remembered her purest and kindest heart.

It’s with a heavy heart I write this, never in a million years did I expect such a young beautiful girl inside and out with her whole life ahead of her to pass away so sudden, she has left many broken hearts we will make sure her legacy lives on and guide and protect her beautiful son mason. The Staff and Students of Deansrath Community College are deeply saddened by the death of our Early Learning and Care student, Chantelle. Chantelle was a lovely, gentle, kind-hearted girl and we will treasure memories of her and her impact on teachers and students in Deansrath. She brought so much light to the College, both as a Second Level and Further Education Student, and was a wonderful friend to many. Education was very important to Chantelle and her commitment to continuing her studies is very much acknowledged by our College community. Her empathy, care and compassion confirmed to all who knew her that her vocation lay in nurturing, guiding and caring for young children.
