I send my heartfelt sympathy to Seamus, Rosemary and extended family on the very sad loss of your beloved Charles.
I have fond memories of Charlie........going to the old Grill for chips and a mineral on a Saturday night, his marshalling of the Main Street defence against the Burma, seeing him on top TV quiz shows and in later years coffee in Mac's Mace.
Charlie was a legend.

Charlie you will be sadly missed by all your freinds back in London. A true character but also a gentle soul. I will miss our chats together and our nights out watching Ireland in the rugby and football matches.

So sorry to hear of Charlie passing.
He was our team captain when we won the Donegal novice crosscounty championship in 1980. His performance was exceptional that day in Finner, as he secure the title for LAC. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Clearly remember Charlie, his brother Seamus, Michael Campsie and myself having meetings upstairs in Fox's Bar, Up. M. INTERFIRMS NIGHT IN NELLYS AFTER RACE CHARLIE GOT HIS PINT FROM NELLY HE DRANK MORE THAN HALF THE PINT WENT TO NELLY AND SAID THAT WAS A BAD PINT HE ASKED NELLY FOR A REPLACEMENT PINT NELLY SAID THE NEXT PINT PROBABLY WILL BE BAD ASWELL CHARLIE SAID TO NELLY YOU BETTER GIVE ME ANOTHER BAD PINT THEN😂😂😂 CHARLIE IT WAS A PLEASURE KNOWING YOU

Charlie was my classmate at St Eunan's College in the late 60s. He attended Finn Harps very first match in the League of Ireland, I will never forget on the Monday morning ,how excited he was telling the class every detail of the game ...even though Harps had lost 10-2 to Shamrock Rovers !!!!

Sincere sympathy to the Fox family. I have fond memories of Charlie and Seamus who got me into running. Charlie was a great club man and I have lovely memories of our many runs out around Newmills. Rest in peace.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie. I wish his extended family strength and consolation at this sad time. I knew Charlie through Letterkenny Athletics Club (LAC) for a good number of years. My memory of Charlie is that he was a good-humoured gentle and kind person. I see his best time for the marathon was 2:47 — mine is 2:48 — I give you that one Charlie. Rest in Peace. Le Gra.
