I'm sad to hear of Charlie's passing. My sincere condolences to his wife Kay, his sons Fergal, Conor and Ronan, sister Marie and extended family and friends. Charlie and I were colleagues in Erin Foods Carlow in the mid sixties. We were both scoring members of the Cosets athletic club team that won the county Carlow novice and junior cross country titles in 1965. We had not met for over 40 years until i bumped into Charlie at the galway races 9/10 years ago. May Charlie's gentle soul rest in peace.
