Charles (Charlie) WILLIAMS

To Joan and family, very sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. I worked for Charlie in the Asset Protection Group, in Bank of Ireland From 1991 to 1995. I learned a lot from Charlie in terms of how to stay true to your own values even if it may have been easier to follow the normal path. Charlie always “had my back” and although he was a hard taskmaster, he was also hugely empathetic and had a great sense of humour. He was certainly a family man and would speak fondly and proudly about Joan and the kids. May he Rest In Peace.

Charlie is gone but not forgotten. He was a nice man much loved by all his relations and a wide circle of friends. My sympathy to Joan and Charlie's family on this sad loss.

So sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. Have nothing but fond memories with everything from selling him golf balls as a kid to seeing him last year and talking about his projects on the model boats. A gentleman always. Love to you all Rob

Hi Joan or Aunty Joan as has become such a habit over the years. We were very sorry to hear of Charles passing. And so close to Marjorie and Tom. It’s been a horrible year for the Caulfield clan and you especially with your brother sister and husband. So so sad. Will keep you all in my thoughts. Might get to make a trip up before the year is out, was hoping for August as Dellannah will be 21, but we’ll wait and see what happens. Take care and stay safe xxx. David I’m extremely sorry to hear the news, I’m sure he was a role model to you, as he actually kinda was to me, he taught me to be patient, got me into the age of explorations and all that . I remember the gifts he’d have everyone during Christmas, and how happy he looked when someone opened a gift that he gifted, in my eyes he seemed compassionate, and overall a great person.

Joan since you rang we have been remembering past events, relating to your family. Charlie has been a good leader as I recall, and achieved much in life. He will be missed by many. Dear Joan,

I am privileged to have worked with him in the early days of Cabinteely. He was a good colleague and a fine man whose expertise, integrity and drive helped lay the foundations of the Banks Systems.
Charlie gave a start to many outstanding IT people, who will be sad that they can’t join with you to say goodbye.
