Remember Charlie (Garda Armstring) from the age of 4 in St.Patricks school Drogheda, and when we moved to the Christian Brothers. He was the school garda for many years in Drogheda. We loved him coming into class to teach us the safe cross code, and what to do if we got lost. And of course we'd sing him a song.

He was a gentleman, and treated us all with respect and decency.

May he rest in peace,
Wonderful memories of when Guard Armstrong worked in Drogheda in the local Primary Schools. He had a unique approach-committed, authoritarian in a gentle way, friendly and very effective when dealing with pupils missing school. It was a pleasure to have known him.R.I.P.
Remember this Gentleman from my days in Gormanston. He also worked with my Father in Drogheda and I heard many a great story of them working together.
May He Rest In Peace.
