Condolences to Orla and all the Richardson family on the sad passing of Charlie. May he rest in peace. Charlie and I worked in Crown all those years ago. Met Charlie and his late wife Rita many times when shopping in Dunnes in Knocknacarra.

So sorry to hear about the sad passing of Charlie. A genuine lovely man. I met him first way back around 1968/69 when he was a goal keeper with West United and we shared many, many laughs together. What a character. RIP Charlie and thanks for all of the lovely memories.

He was great company to be with, on the golf course or over a pint (especially on the golf course where he was very generous and understanding of those of us who were most unlikely to ever turn professional). A mean dancer, he was, and very handy with the airguitar.
