May Mr Brett rest in peace, such a lovely man. I have been going into his shop since I was a little girl with my mam and my nanny Robinson from liberty house. The end of an era. Rest in peace ♥

Great memories of Brett’s shop . We got all our clothes and our plastic shoes ribbons and everything else there as kids many moons ago .my sisters and me brought our kids there too . Mr. Brett’s always had time for us and played jokes on us . Lovely man . May He Rest In Peace ❤️❤️

R.I.P Charlie, such a lovely man. I remember him from my childhood when my mam used to go into Bretts to buy ribbon for my hair and when as an adult I'd go in regularly to buy wool. He was a gentleman and he was held with very high regard by people of the North Inner City.

So sorry for your loss...he kept many a child dressed in Talbot st...

As one of Charles Nephews I loved Working at Brett & Co during my School Holidays and Meeting all of Uncle Charlies loyal Customers, Traders and Business Associates... He knew everyone and was greatly admired by everyone in the Inner City of Dublin.Charlie was am absolute Gentleman to all he knew and Dealt with.
One of my Greatest Childhood Memories and highlights while working at Bretts was the Day he introduced me to RONAN KEATING and his lovely MUM... Ronan had just started the Boyband BOYZONE ...!
I had such a lovely Chat and I remember Ronan telling me Proudly that his Mam always shopped at BRETTS in Talbot Street. ...Yes good old Charlie Brett knew and LOVED all his Special and Loyal Dublin CUSTOMERS. ... I have so many wonderful Stories and Tales to tell about the Life and times of the DUBLIN inner City with my Uncle Charlie...
The End of an ERA but never forgotten, may he REST IN PEACE finally and live on in the Hearts of all those who Knew and Loved him especially his Beloved DUBLIN PEOPLE.
