I was deeply saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing. I have great memories of serving him Sunday lunch at the Castle Arms Hotel—he was always warm, full of character, and a real gentleman. I missed the Sundays when he could no longer make the journey to Durrow. I was very fond of him, and he’ll be remembered dearly.
