We send our sincere sympathy to Peggy and all the Doherty family on the loss of Gerry. Gerry will be missed by so many friends but will live on in his family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
On behalf of Garryowen GFC London, our club extends its deepest and sincere condolences to the Doherty family on the passing of Charlie. Charlie was President of the Garryowen and over several decades he played a pivotal role in club affairs as a player and member of the committee. More latterly his role was one of supporter, attending as many games as he was able to. Charlie’s presence will be sorely missed at Garryowen games but he will be fondly remembered in our prayers. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Sincere Condolences to Peggy and all the Doherty family on the death of Charlie. I remember Charlie as a quiet unassuming gentleman, he and Peggy welcomed me, a complete stranger into their home fifty years ago, they extended the same welcome to our daughters and grandchildren many years later.
I hope we reciprocated that when he visited us in Australia.
