Deepest sympathies to May and the boys and your grandchildren on the loss of Charlie. He was a dear friend to us all in the GPO. His little office was a sanctuary. If you had a problem or were down about something, you’d sit in there with Charlie and he’d listen, advise and no doubt make you laugh. He was a diamond of a man. I have many happy memories of visits to Temple House over the years especially with Róisín when she was small. I appreciated your kindness so much to both of us.
I’m so sad. Charlie was such a ray of light. I will miss his cheeky grin and his kind, kind heart.

Played football alongside him as well and what a tough and talented footballer he was too.
